How I Styled My Thrifted Floral Maxi Skirt
Styling maxi skirts can be tricky. Specially when shirts, cropped tops, and even sweaters are welcome. Maxi skirts are fun to wear and this one quickly became one of my favorite items in the closet. I stand at only 5 foot and 5 inches, but I love long skirts. But more importantly, I love to see taller women wearing skirts. And I don’t even own a lot of skirts. I don’t remember the exact price I paid for it, but I think it was $5.00. What I love about this maxi skirt is that it is super long and the design is to die for. I love how I can wear it with at least 3 different tops. This is the kind of skirt that I can pair with a basic white T-shirt, which I think is an ideal style. But I wanted to get a little more formal. That’s why I went with the longs sleeve shirt. Black and red outfits are like black and white to me. They are classy, traditional, and you cannot go wrong with the color combinations. I actually wore the shirt to a funeral about 5 years ago. The material feels a little silky. And yes, the shirt does have soft shoulder pads. I love the pleats on the sleeves and the buttons. The maxi skirt has elastic waist and it’s slightly too big for me. That’s why I tucked the shirt in and secured it with a belt. Maxi skirt Styling Tip.
